ABOUT

Freddie Graham (MMus, BMus, LTCL, ATCL) is a producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ, singer, songwriter, and poet with a refreshing, eclectic, and multidimensional sound that transports listeners into multi-genre soundscapes.

Growing up in the depths of the English countryside, Freddie nurtured an attachment to the natural world, influencing his writing and his approach to music composition using natural soundscapes. Early on, Freddie developed a strong bond with music; “music and sound has always been centric to everything I do. It constructs how I see things”. His passion for discovering and exploring new sounds resulted in the fusions he is known for, containing free-flowing genres, soundscapes, and multiple artistic mediums.

While studying music in Manchester, Freddie developed his rich music vocabulary, delving into electronic music and electronically manipulating his saxophone and voice. Well known for his euphoric, enchanting DJ sets, Freddie cofounded Apollo Sounds to bring experimental electronic dance music to larger, sold-out audiences.

Whilst only in the early stages of his journey, Freddie has already performed in places such as the Royal Albert Hall, The Edinburgh Fringe, Manchester Academy, The Pickle Factory, and Band on the Wall, with compositions being performed in The Barbican, The Royal College of Art, Hackney Studios, Qatar, and Scotland.

“Freddie is the type of musician who effortlessly catches people’s attention; on saxophone he plays with great maturity, his technical ability is vastly impressive, and, be it playing live or in his production work, he always makes highly intelligent musical choices. The latter is clear when he experiments with soundscapes, his electronic and produced music especially mesmerising when paired with film, creating brain-tingling and emotionally moving sensations for the viewer.

A hugely talented all-round musician, with high level skills ranging from DJ-ing to songwriting, jazz saxophone to glitching electroacoustic compositions, Freddie no doubt has a glistening future in music just around the corner.”
